This Is Not a Government Office. Washington County Criminal History is privately operated. It cannot retrieve, correct, remove, or certify a record, perform an official background check, or receive an expungement filing.
Need an Official Record?

- Statewide criminal histories: Kentucky State Police Criminal Identification and Records Branch through its official background-check process
- Expungement filings: begin with the Kentucky Court of Justice certification process, then file the correct petition with the Washington County Circuit Court Clerk
- Registry searches: use the Kentucky Sex Offender Registry; send suspected noncompliance to law enforcement
The Circuit Court Clerk is the correct Springfield counter for case dockets, judgments, and archived-file routing. The sheriff is the county contact for reports made by that department. Call before mailing payment because the research did not locate a published Washington County sheriff fee schedule or court-copy price.
